Casey Affleck just wanted people to suspend disbelief
HollywoodNews.com: Now that Casey Affleck and Joaquin Phoenix’s film ‘I’m Still Here’ is out, all the details about whether or not it was all a hoax are coming out as well.
Affleck hit up ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ to further discuss the confusion: “We just wanted to make a movie that would help people kind of suspend their disbelief. They could go to the theater; they could experience it – sort of wonder whether it was real or not.”
However, some people apparently still don’t understand what Affleck and Phoenix were doing with the whole film: “It was a little bit surprising when people were still asking, ‘is this a hoax or not a hoax?'” Affleck admitted.
Looks like Affleck hasn’t quite made his intentions perfectly clear to the public.
