My god! Shia Labeouf being called “Hollywood movie star of the week” feels like one of the seals of hell should be broken. What a sad world we live in where someone with virtually no acting abilities beyond playing himself, is considered a box office draw. He plays the exact same thing in every film. It’s Shia running from transformers, or Shia running from the neighborhood serial killer, or Shia running from wall street. How this guy gets any roles beyond teen comedies is beyond me. It’s really ridiculous seeing someone with a build like my kid sister running through explosions and saving the world. I don’t know what Shia did behind closed doors to get all of these roles, but I shutter to think.

What ever happened to talent? We used to have up and comers like De Niro, Pacino, Nicholson, and Dicaprio more recently. Now we have people like Labeouf and the kids from Twilight? What a sad world. If I sound harsh it’s just because I miss the glory days of cinema and am getting worn down by all the crap I’ve been seeing crapped out of Hollywood. Now I’m not totally anti Labeouf. I’m just against the roles he has been getting. I think he would do a fine job in comedies but he certainly is no action star or Academy Award worthy.
