Matt Damon’s character written out of next ‘Bourne’ film Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne character will not be making an appearance in the next ‘Bourne’ film, so the next film will just pick up where it left off, but without him.

Damon previously said he would not do another film without Paul Greengrass attached, so director and writer Tony Gilroy will be making the next film “a stand-alone project,” states Digital Spy. The Bourne Legacy will not be “a reboot or a recast or a prequel.”

And while Gilroy says there will be a new hero in this one, he will be setting the film up so that it “invites Jason Bourne’s return.”

Think the Bourne film will do as well without Damon?

This is when they need to just end making the films. I hate when they take a good thing and can’t just let it go.
