Carrie Fisher can “turn men gay” Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher has joked how she has a secret superpower – to turn men gay.

She also said she wasn’t allowed to wear a bra in the first Star Wars movie by the “odd” director, George Lucas, “because there’s no underwear in space”.

Carrie, speaking on Australian TV on her 54th birthday, also said: “I do have this superpower. It’s not called upon very often but yes, I can turn men gay. I actually turned one of my ex’s gay. Apparently, I turned him gay by taking Codeine. I told him I never read that warning on the label. I thought it said something about ‘heavy machinery’ not ‘homosexuality’.

Talking about George Lucas, the Star Wars director, she said: “George is pretty odd. He’s obviously a visionary but he did tell me I couldn’t wear a bra underneath the white dress in the first film because there’s no underwear in space.”

She also told how she once met a male Star Wars fan. “I once had a guy say to me he thought of me every day from when he was 12 to 22. I said to him, ‘Every day?’. He replied, ‘Well, four times a day’.”
