Paul McCartney is hip to modern music Singer Sir Paul McCartney said he believes music is better nowadays that when he was part of The Beatles.

Sir Paul, 68, recently rereleased the 1973 Wings album Band On The Run, and admitted he is a fan of modern artists such as Kings Of Leon, Kasabian and Plan B.

According to UK newspaper The Sun, he said: “I think there’s a lot of great music around, I really do. You get someone going: ‘Oh, it’s not like it was in my day!’ I say: ‘No, it’s different. It isn’t like it was in your day. And actually some of it is better.’ I like Kings Of Leon, I think they’re really cool. I like Plan B, he’s good. He has really got it, you know, a good singer.”
