Steven Spielberg’s ‘Terra Nova’ will preview on Fox before season bow Steven Spielberg’s very expensive Fox sci-fi drama “Terra Nova” will be previewed in May prior to its Fall 2011 release.

That’s a similar marketing strategy Fox employed on “Glee” to generate heat for the series prior to its first season debut. “Terra Nova” will run as a two-hour special.

Per Digtal Spy: “ ‘Terra Nova’ follows a family from a post-apocalyptic future who travel back in time to the prehistoric age in an attempt to save the earth.”

Spielberg is exec producing and each episode is costing Fox $4 million.

The show stars Jason O’Mara (“Life on Mars”), Stephen Lang (“Avatar”) and Allison Miller (“Kings”).
