Justin Bieber thought of Michael Jackson when writing “Pray”

HollywoodNews.com: Justin Bieber is gearing up for the release of his new acoustic album that hits Walmart stores on November 26. While the new album features acoustic versions of his fan favorites, it also features a new single entitled, “Pray.”

The 16-year-old recently chatted with Ryan Seacrest as he debuted “Pray” on the radio. Bieber told Ryan, “There’s so many songs about love and I think that it’s great to take it out of that world for a minute. There’s other things that are important and I just wanted to be motivational.”

“It’s a very uplifting song, very motivational, it definitely comes from the heart. I think everybody young or old will be able to relate to this song.”

In addition, he admits that Michael Jackson had a big influence on the writing of “Pray.” He said, “I definitely thought of Michael’s “Man In The Mirror” when I wrote it.”
