“Inferno” director relieved to have Lindsay Lohan off the film

HollywoodNews.com: “Inferno” director Matthew Wilder kept postponing the shooting of his film to accommodate with Lindsay Lohan’s needs while she went to trial, jail, and then to rehab. However, since she has been replaced by Malin Akerman, Wilder admits that it is a bit of a relief.

He told Radar Online, “I feel like 16 tons of weight are off my mind not having to deal with the Lindsay Lohan situation. We have not heard anything from Lindsay and her camp recently but we wish her and them well.” He adds, “I still think she has great talent and if she respects those gifts then she will go on to show people what she is capable of doing.”

In regards to casting Akerman he said, “I love working with her, she is sensitive and hard-working and I think it’s a great decision for our project.”
