Katy Perry uses ‘Simpsons’ to take shot at ‘Sesame Street’ ban
HollywoodNews.com: As any pop star can tell you, the moment that you’ve made it hits not when you get on the cover of Rolling Stone, not when you attend the Grammy’s, but when you get a duet on Sesame Street. Unfortunately for Katy Perry, her adorable performance with Elmo was cut due to the singer’s risque outfit.
According to the New York Daily News, her spot on The Simpsons Christmas special took multiple jabs at Sesame Street. This comes after Sesame Street banned a duet that Perry performed with Elmo because parents complained that Perry’s outfit was too controversial aka revealing. The star got her revenge.
“In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, ‘The Simpsons’ puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry,” Simpsons executive producer Al Jean told Entertainment Weekly at the time.
Do you think Perry is right to poke fun at Sesame Street or was it in bad taste to wear such a revealing outfit in the first place? Let us know what you think.

Um excuse me how come nobody is blaming the genius stylist on this shoot? Jeeze!
I get it. I mean I don’t think there was anything wrong with her performance. They should have known this was coming. I bet it will be hilarious!
