Adam Lambert has used ‘Idol’ as a platform to prove his talent

“Are you a huge fan of “Adam Lambert” who likes to blog? We’ve got a job for you…” Adam Lambert is one of those true artists, the ones who do it because they love it, not because of the fame or fortune. This is probably one of the reasons why his originality and unique style has garnered him thousands of fans around the world.

So when people try to criticize him for his recent Grammy nomination, he explains that he has earned every bit of it. He says, “I believe ‘American Idol’ is a dream platform for any artist. It did not however, teach me how to sing or perform. I made music for years prior to the show but knew that most major labels wouldn’t be interested in me as a mainstream pop artist unless I could develop a legitimate fan base and prove that I had talent. ‘Idol’ gave me these opportunities. But I feel I earned my current success by preparing and executing a variety of strong performances every week on the show and being comfortable being different,” reports THR.

We couldn’t agree more with the pop star.

I haven’t heard anyone criticize his Grammy nomination. All the industry people were criticizing the award shows for not nominating him for more. The only criticism I ever see is from fans of other contestants from American Idol. For whatever bizarre reason once you are on the show you are bascially stalked for years by the fans of other contestants and freaky websites like Vote for the Worst. I think the TV watching crowd’s brain seeps into the remote control (put down the remote and step into the light). The music crowd however appreciates Adam and recognizes his talent

I totally agree with everything you said!!

@dj. I agree with everything that you said. I have only seen praise about Adam’s nomination. And you are right, the fans of other idols and some websits like TI who hate Adam were upset. But the media seemed very pleased. Nobody can deny that the GlamRocker is one of the best singers in the business. So who would complain other than the jealous. BTW two of the producers on For Your Entertainment were also nominated. So no the complaints were not coming from industry people.

To those above who haven’t seen it: Infinity TV site has horrible comments about Adam and his comments on AI and the Grammy nomination. This site just shows how you can spin something to be positive or negative from the same exact info. Love Adam and think he deserves everything he gets.

To Linny: Thank you for always being positive about Adam when others aren’t so nice sometimes.

Let them say whatever they want. It won’t change the fact that this nomination is by ADAM’s peers not the fans so it is more relevant than People’s Choice .. for instance. Right now the trolls & detractors are bit**ing because ADAM was nominated & they’ll still be bit**ing when ADAM WINS!! So I say … KEEP ‘EM UNHAPPY ADAM! ‘CUZ YOU’RE DOIN’ IT PERFECTLY!!!!
