and that is just for the Vevo version of the video, which many folks outside of the US can’t even watch.

The version I watch from the UK has 4 million views and the one on the AdamOfficialSME has another 1.2 million.

The video is already well over 20 million all told on youtube.

It has been fun watching the youtube viewcounts. Each successive video has climbed quicker and to greater numbers than it’s predecessor. Now bring on some new music and let the growth continue.

Everything about Adam is exciting, he is the most exciting artist in the music industry. Can’t wait for the next album, the next tour, etc., just ordered the cd “Acoustic Live” from his website, missed out on the first edition which seemed to be sold out as soon as it was available. I am wishing him luck every day on gettting that Grammy win, but I am sure if that does not happen, Adam will accept it with the grace and wisdom that he has shown for the past two years-another wonderful quality we love about him. Congrats to Adam on the mega success of the Glam Nation Tour.

15 million? The highest viewed version of If I Had You has 1.2 million views.

Not that that’s a bad thing. The less people that see that awful video the better. A very good song and a potential huge hit ruined by imagery that has nothing whatsoever to do with the lyrics.

“Excited” barely describes what the Glamberts are feeling about Adam! His upcoming album will be the most anticipated “event” in ages! And we are all hoping that he is asked to perform his Grammy nominated song on Grammy night!
People who only saw him on the disastrous AMAs will be delighted and astounded at his true genius! His Glam Nation Tour was an International success and he will be the standard of music and performance excellence for many years to come!!

I am as big an Adam fan as there is. I don’t understand how his success is not being reflected in album sales and single sales? Why are people buying Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, three artists with crappy singing voices. I don’t see For Your Entertainment as that successful when it hasn’t even sold a million copies in the US. Is it because people got to see him perform for free on AI, so they think they don’t have to to pay for his music now? Is it because he is gay? Somewhere, there is a disconnect between the level of his talent and performance quality and ablum and single sales.

Adam could release another single from this ablum. My preferences are Music Again, Fever and Sleepwalker. Although in Fever he says, “There HE goes…,” and that may fan the gay flames with some people, it would be groundbreaking for him. It would be consistent with his openly, proudly gay persona. Releasing a fabulous song with that pronoun, if the song was successful, would show that artists can sing songs that reflect their lifestyles without repercussions.

I believe Lady Gaga is gay. She won’t openly admit it, because that would make her male-female scenarios in her videos a farce. Adam cannot at this time produce male-male relationsohips in his videos, so he is limited to finding ways to express the feeling in the videos without involving a second central character. Maybe, with Fever, he could break that video barrier.

I love the video and song “If I Had You”. The video is so creative and really does fit the song. I have watched it over and over myself, and will continue to watch it.

queenrosered, you are such an obvious fake glambert troll, I see you all over the place posting ridiculous OTT nonsense. Where do you really come from VFTW or krisallentogether?

Sue, I think you are probably trolling too, but to answer your question, Adam being an openly gay male has absolutely hindered him in the US. Don’t compare his US numbers to Swift or Perry who get radio play for everything they spit out, compare him to other artists with openly gay members, like the Scissor Sisters. They’ve never reached platinum in the US with any of their albums, nor have they had a big hit with any of their singles. They are one of the biggest bands on the planet outside of the US.

It is really difficult for openly gay men to get US radio play and it always has been. It is radio play that pushes the album and singles to platinum. That is where the disconnect is.

candice, I tried to answer you yesterday, but perhaps the site doesn’t like youtube links in the post. Look on Adam’s youtube VEVO channel for the video that has almost 15 million views.

The name nicoleb861will lead you to another video with 4 million.

On top of that, the video is still in the top 50 on US itunes and all three of his single videos are in the top 100 (and haven’t ever left the top 300). The huge hit potential was not ruined by the video, the popularity of the video drove reluctant radio stations to give it a chance.
