Joseph Gordon-Levitt Confirms Role in Upcoming Batman Movie Longtime indie actor and newfound Hollywood heartthrob Joseph Gordon-Levitt will appear in Christopher Nolan’s newest installment of the Batman franchise, “The Dark Knight Rises,” according to Deadline Hollywood.

Deadline reports that Gordon-Levitt will be joining production when it commences this spring. Neither Nolan or Gordon-Levitt have disclosed which role he will be taking on, although speculation has already circulated on various Internet message boards over which villains Gordon-Levitt could play.

Gordon-Levitt was most recently seen in Inception, Nolan’s last cinematic epic that scored eight Academy Award nominations.

    awesome! looking forward to him, hardy and nolan together again
    i think joseph’s role would be the most anticipated
    if its all hush hush, then his role is definitely a huge one

    I have always said that he would make a perfect subsitute Joker due to Heath Ledger’s passing. Just look at the resemblence. Also, his portrayal of Cobra Commander was brilliant.
