Assaulted journalist Lara Logan released from hospital
HollywoodNews.com: Journalist Lara Logan, who was brutally attacked and sexually assaulted in Egypt on Feb.11, the day President Mubarak stepped down from political power, was released from the hospital, according to ABC News.
Logan was reportedly released from the hospital on Tuesday around 5 p.m. A source told ABC News that Logan is currently recuperating with her family at her home in the Washington, D.C. area.
While Logan was reporting in Tahrir Square for CBS’ 60 Minutes, Logan was reportedly separated from her crew. “She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers,” CBS News said in a statement published Tuesday.
