Katy Perry possibly dissed by Adele for relying on looks

HollywoodNews.com: It seems that some people believe that Katy Perry is relying a little bit on her looks in order to be successful in the music industry.

Adele recently commented on looks and the business and may have taken a swipe at Perry, states Now. “‘If you compare the way I look to big artists like, say, Katy Perry, I’m living proof it’s all about the music because there’s nothing else I’m relying on to do well,” Adele commented.

She also got a little more critical when she noted that her talent has been enough to give her a successful career: “I don’t rely on my tits to have hits.”

While she wasn’t directly knocking Perry, some might wonder why she singled her out as an example. Luckily, Perry hasn’t hidden the fact that she does embrace her sex appeal.

Do you think Katy Perry relies on her looks?

Katy Perry is an atrocious singer (live at least). She looks like any other ordinary girl you’d see on the street without her fake eyelashes.

I agree with Adele 100%. If Katy didn’t look the way she does, she wouldn’t be famous. Same goes for a lot of other “singers” today. Adele is a beautiful woman who doesn’t need to rely on showing skin to sell. She’s got a real talent.

I don’t think Adele is knocking Katy Perry. Especially since her comments knock her own appearance. She is saying her music alone has to be the reason for her success because it is not her looks (that would be a diss against herself). She probably picked Perry because she is a sex symbol as much as she is a singer. Does Katy Perry rely on her looks? Maybe not “rely” but she certainly uses it to her advantage. From a marketing standpoint It is much easier to sell a hot woman than it is one who wouldn’t necessarily be considered hot. I’m glad Adele is just telling like it is.

I don’t think thar katy relies on her looks. She is an amazing and talented person who is famous not just because she’s pretty but because she has true musical talent and she’s original ! it’s very hard to find someone like katy perry because she’s a complete package and that’s what makes her special. she takes risks and she has a great personality and that is why people love her ! The fact that katy is pretty is an extra ! Plus, its good for someone to embrace their
looks and that’s exactly what katy is doing!

I hate to admit it cause I love Katy Perry and Adele both but her sex appeal does help her. Not to say Adele isn’t gorgeous cause she definitely is.

just because Adele is a fat old bitch who can’t sing? she has to lash out at beautiful girls who now how to sing? Katy Perry is better then she will ever be i know that for a fact. Anyone who sees this do not buy Adeles new cd its shit. BUY TEENAGE DREAM

If an artist is happy with her looks, no need to talk about the looks of another artist. If your music speaks for itself then let it. Sounds like someone wants the pretty girl to go away.

I’ve seen them both perform live. Perry was a joke. The woman can’t hold a tune without a studio or a machine to fix her off key wails. I won’t waste another dime of my money on this womans’ music. If she sells $10 tickets, I might change my mind.

Adele, on the other hand, produces studio quality sounds in live performance. I was mesmerized the entrie performance and she didn’t crack even once. Adele is a performer who interests all age groups and all demographics. Perry – not so much.
