Bin Laden film, directed by Kathryn Bigelow, adds Edgerton

Hollywoodnews.com: It’s going to need a rewrite, but Kathryn Bigelow’s in-the-making Osama Bin Laden film, once titled “Kill Bin Laden,” has added its first actor.
The amazing Joel Edgerton, primarily known for the crime noir “Animal Kingdom,” has been cast as a special operative in Bigelow’s film, according to two sources. But Edgerton will not carry the pic on his own. He’ll be part of an elite commando of military men who reportedly stormed a Pakistani compound and eliminated Bin Laden, the L.A. Times reports.
It’s a huge bit of casting news for Edgerton, who recently lost out on coveted parts in the high-profile adaptation of “The Hunger Games,” the reboot of the “Bourne” franchise, and the reimagining of “Snow White” with Kristen Stewart in the lead.
The Times notes that Bigelow’s currently untitled Bin Laden movie “aims to shoot as early as this summer.”
