Adam Lambert still rooting for Haley Reinhart on ‘American Idol’ Although Haley Reinhart got hit hard by the judges last night on ‘American Idol,’ she still has the support of Adam Lambert.

While all the other contestants got good reviews from the judges, Lambert feels that Reinhart is the star. He posted his personal opinion on Twitter: “Haley gets criticized cuz she’s the best and SO not cookie cutter. She was Fiesty 2n b/c she’s a strong, smart woman. my fav kind o woman.”

He also believes that the young star has some real potential when it comes to a career: “Bottom line- in my opinion, Haley would make the edgiest, most original album out of the three. #Realness.”

Well now we know tht Hailey stayed and James did not. I love Adam, but respectfully disagree and was rooting so for James, and must say was sad to see him\ leave as I was when Adam did not win(and dont’ get mad, other Adam fans, because I am in no way comparing James to Adam), they are two different performers with different syles, but I believe that James will also go on to a suceed because not only is he talented, but he has courage and conviction. So, Go James, take that phenomenal talent, that courage, go out and knock them dead-want to see and hear much , much more of James Durbin.

Um Adam was rooting for Haley along with other past idols, Ellen and a ton of celebrities who all tweeted on twitter! Not sure why you are singling out just Adam for having a preferance and an opinion! Seems lame to me! Everyone has an opinion, kinda of our right, not? As for my opinion, I haven’t seen anyone on idol who has grabbed me or made me watch faithfully, all kinda of boring but do agree with Lambert that Haley had a couple of great performances! The rest are just kareoke to me and not that good vocally! jmo

i am also rooting for haley not because adam likes her too. from the beginning she is the bravest and most comfortable among them. she is also a fighter, good on you haley, hope you win.

I started lovin haley when she sang benny and the jess and house of the rising sun. Of course adam is right, but I also liked James. Scotty needs to go IMO. Haley for the win!!

It doesn’t matter if Haley wins or not, because James is already winning regardless of his elimination last night!!! 😛

James had moments where he really sounded good, but overall he was so off key that it distracted from the performance. I just wish the judges had emphasized that more to him so he could be aware of the issue and not think he was perfect. No blame here when 72 million votes were cast. I do think there might have been a backlash because of how rude Randy was to Haley. He was worse than Simon even on a bad day because he was ugly about it and continued to slam her. Just embarrassing for him IMO. People didn’t like that and voted for Haley.

lol that people like Deb think Adam is some kind of powerful being that he swayed enough people to vote for Haley & that’s why James is out. I was voting for Haley long before Adam ever said anything about it, in fact it was right around the time that Pia got voted off WAY too early, and it really ticked me off, so I took an interest in voting again – for the one that actually SANG the best – because this is SUPPOSED to be about singing, not your favorite person or whatever. James can NOT sing, sorry ’bout it, but that’s god’s honest truth. He makes my ears bleed. Anyway, I have no hate for James or anybody in this competition (well, maybe a couple of the ones previously voted off), but he did not deserve to stay as long as he did, and I have absolutely no idea why the judges and producers pimped him so much & so blatantly. Come ON. Who opened AND closed the show on Wed. night? OMG. James was the ONLY one pulled out of order so he could close the damn show (aka “the pimp spot”). He’s the one the judges just swoon over & act like he was brilliant or some crazy shizzz… they are AWFUL to Haley!!! They used to criticize Pia as well, and she was the most technically perfect singer on the show!!! it was so crazy how obvious they were. Oh, not to mention how they singled Haley out like “3 way tie between James, Lauren & Scotty” like Haley sucked or some sh*t & she’s NOT IN IT TO WIN IT like the others?!!! WTAF?!!!
Okay yeah so all the BS this season has gotten me so ticked off I can barely even talk about it.
anyway…. to answer the original question, YES I AGREE WITH ADAM. But he also said “Don’t get me wrong y’all. James, Lauren and Scotty are so talented! They’ll all do very well. But their voices can all b compared to others” which for some reason you didn’t include in your “article”

Molly I agree 100 % with Adam on Haley. He knows musical talent more than most. His classical music training has help him perfect his vocals and enables him to see perfection or non-perfection in other singers. Hope others take his lead and support Haley.

Heard Haley signed with the same record co as Adam so this is all phony PR from him to make $$ for the record co.

  • May 14, 2011 | Permalink |

i always like haley even before adam tweeted about her. hope she will win.

  • May 14, 2011 | Permalink |

@sarah hill- your an idiot and stop spreading your rumors. How in the world is adam going to profit on haley winning- give me a break. your obviously an adam hater. People that have a real ear for music, respect what adam has to say- that’s it and I for one agree with him. Haley all the way!

I jumped on the Haley bandwagon after hearing her sing “Benny & the Jets”. I saw the tweet of support from Adam regarding Haley and I also saw him supporting James, Pia and Jacob from previous weeks on Twitter. Two years ago, I vowed to never vote on American Idol again, after the huge voting controversy of Season 8 and I haven’t. As much as I would love to see Haley win Season 10, she will not get my vote(s). When American Idol changes their voting rules and limits votes per phone number, per Internet and per texting, I will possibly vote again. I’m thinking American Idol may not be around much longer. The new judges suck at their jobs and I mute the TV when Randy is talking.

Adam Lambert has a public persona (for events and performances) and a private one.As a citizen of a FREE Democracy, he has the same rights as all of us, That includes the right to express HIS OWN opinion.
Many other stars/singers also Tweeted, including David Cook. MOST (including Cook) support Haley and for the same reason as Adam. She is the best vocalist left standing, the most versatile and yes, she finally stood up for herself against the biased, negative , harsh judges critiques! I say it was long overdue! I wish Jacob had refused to have his wings clipped by Jimmy Iovine too!
Week after week, we saw James go from mediocre to worse vocally and not ONCE did the judges “spank” him verbally or even offer constructive criticisms (which MAY have kept him on a little longer!)
James acted like he was giving a personal concert and he totally acted entitled.I’m SURE he thought he had this all sewn up. And after the judges praise and pimping, why wouldn’t he think that way?
Do people listen when Adam speaks? Yes, lol. Just like E.F. Hutton. But we also have ears and eyes and opinions of our own and could see that James was getting too arrogant and being pimped and wasn’t nearly as vocally great as Haley.AND….Adam did NOT Tweet that opinion until AFTER the voting had ended. He is powerful but please…gimme a break..he wields no “magic wand”
In short, James SHOULD have been voted off.He can’t run with the big dogs and needs to stay on the porch. I shudder to think of how he will cope, post-Idol because in the REAL world of music and entertaining…there are rejections and doors slammed in your face constantly. Something Lambert knows MORE about than any of us!
That is MY two cents. ;D

I totally agree with queenrosered! Durbin’s behavior seemed like he felt “entitled” and that it was all but wrapped up for him with a bow! He has a touching story and all, but in his exit interview he kept saying everything he did was ALL HIS IDEA – boasting again! Had he remained humble I think his fan base would have only increased. That being said, I feel the elimination was fair.
I love Haley for IDOL Season 10!

Sorry Adam baby! Alot of other people had a very different view as you can see from last nights Idol! James was the bomb like you , but look what happened to him. Look what happened to you. But i have to say Lauren is the next best thing now that James is gone. Lauren has a set of pipes that are crystal clear and can’t be beat! She is amazing and deserves to be where she is right now. Adam come on you know she is good. Don’t treat the others bad, it’s not fair. I voted for you a million times and thought of you to be a great person. Don’t ruin that for me. I flipped the hell out when you didn’t win ok. But now look where you are today ! Just give the others a chance and stay cool. I wish you would tell James you are sorry , things you said about him were not nice. What’s up with that?
