Hollywoodnews.com: Katie Couric’s final interview for the “CBS Evening News” takes place tonight, and she’s going out with an esteemed political guest, according to reports.
Making due on her promise to exit the network, Couric will conclude her run on CBS tonight with a sit down with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. She and Couric reportedly will discuss President Barack Obama’s speech on foreign policy and “the changes in the political landscape in the Arab world following Osama Bin Laden’s death,” THR reports.
Couric’s interview with Clinton airs tonight at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Beyond that, Couric’s plans remains up in the air. She is “eyeing a syndicated talk show, which she wants to be known for ‘smart conversation,’ and Internet platforms,” THR adds, but no plans have been solidified. Scott Pelley, meanwhile, will fill her chair on the “Evening News.”
