Arnold Schwarzenegger “Governator” cartoon scrapped
By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Toss “The Governator” onto the scrap heap of projects currently on hold in the wake of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s bomb shell news that he’d fathered a child – and possibly children – out of wedlock.
The pile is getting larger. There’s a fifth “Terminator” film up there, as well as that adaptation of the novel “Cry Tough.” And now TMZ is reporting that the animated series and subsequent comic book series based on Arnold’s make-believe superhero, The Governator, is on hold.
A rep for the animated project told the site, “In light of recent events, A Squared Entertainment, POW, Stan Lee Comics, and Archie Comics, have chosen to not go forward with the Governator project.” They added that one problem with the plot had Schwarzenegger’s character fighting crime alongside his wife Maria and their four kids.
Yikes!
