‘American Idol’ contestants score big money for tour
HollywoodNews.com: The ‘American Idol’ contestants may not even have record deals yet, but they will be making some nice money when they head out on tour.
The top eleven will be part of the American Idol Live Tour this summer and will receive $1,000 each per show, states TMZ. Considering the tour will go from right after the show ends to the end of September, the money will be rolling in.
The contestants will also receive a share of the merchandise profits and $50 spending money on days when they are not performing.

Does it seem fair? These creative artists are being ripped off. $1000 a show, and $50.00 spending money a day when they are not preforming. This is ludicrous, they are all worth more that. About about $5000 a show and $500 a day when they’re not preforming.
The story cannot be correct because the higher finishers sing more songs than the lower finishers. How can they be paid the same amount.
