Katie Couric’s daytime talker doesn’t have a name … yet
By Sean O’Connell
Hollywoodnews.com: Katie Couric’s reps revealed that the former network news anchor will be moving to daytime syndication in the next phase of her career, and while some have speculated she’ll inherit Oprah Winfrey’s vacant throne, that’s far too much pressure for anyone to match. Let’s see how she does first before we go crowning Couric a successor to anything or anyone.
Now that we know the show is happening and when it will debut (September 2012), analysts are investigating the program’s name.
Hiltzik Strategies reportedly snapped up the domain names for both TheKatieCouricShow.com and KatieTVShow.com, THR reports. As of now, both sites go to a Go Daddy screen, so these are possibilities.
But as Couric’s reps confirmed to the trade, “Katie’s enjoying the day and is excited to be back at ABC. There’s plenty of time to decide the name of the show.”
