Chelsea Handler joins Paramount’s “Fun Size”

By Sean O’Connell Chelsea Handler has left her mark on the television industry (with a hit talk show) and the publishing world (with multiple bestsellers), though she has yet to crack the feature-film world … for now.

Paramount Pictures has signed the “Chelsea Lately” host to play a key role in the teen comedy “Fun Size,” directed by Josh Schwartz,” THR reports. Handler stars as the mother of a sarcastic teenager girl, played by Nickelodeon starlet Victoria Justice. The story, penned by “Colbert Report” writer Max Werner, involves Justice’s character taking her younger brother trick or treating on Halloween but losing him before they are due to return home.

Handler also had a part in Russell Brand’s “Hop,” and will appear alongside Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy in the action comedy “This Means War” for director McG.
