Carrie Underwood tops Adam Lambert as best paid ‘Idol’ Carrie Underwood has certainly capitalized on her ‘American Idol’ fame as she has come out as the highest paid contestant from the show.

Underwood easily beat the competition on the ‘Forbes’ list, states Underwood reportedly made about $20 million while Adam Lambert tied with Chris Daughtry for second by bringing in $6 million.

Original winner Kelly Clarkson came in fifth with $2.5 million.

    What is the time frame ? Is it for last year only or first year after Idol or total since Idol or….? I am not surprised by the performers ranking except I would have ecpected Jennifer Hudson in that list.
