Twilight “Breaking Dawn: Part 1” soundtrack to release on 11/8

By Kim Palacios Cover art and a release date were announced for the soundtrack of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part I” via the official twitter account of the Twilight franchise. Fans will be able to buy the soundtrack in store or online on November 8th, ten days prior to the release of the film.

What has not yet been announced are which songs will be heard on the soundtrack, or even which artists might feature. Stephenie Meyer’s favorite band, Muse, was slotted for major singles in “Twilight” and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” yet the band’s most recent participation was not as well-loved as the first.

Also, given the cast’s musical proclivities, the announcement of Twilight Saga soundtrack songs is always a much-anticipated event. Specifically, fans are curious as to whether Robert Pattinson (who had two original songs featured on the “Twilight” soundtrack) will show his singing, piano-playing, and guitar-playing chops once again. Also of interest is actor Jackson Rathbone, who, in addition to playing good vamp Jasper Whitlock for the Twilight franchise tours with his band, 100 Monkeys. Prior to each film, speculation abounds as to whether either actor’s music will make it on.
