Levine first commented on Twitter that the VMAs were the one day a year that MTV pretends to still care about music. Now, he is backing that up with what he sees as problems with the station, states E! News.

“It’s public knowledge that it’s not a music channel,” Levine commented, adding that there are some good things about MTV but just not enough.

“I think that great artists were there and they were represented and there could have been more,” Levine said about MTV losing support due to their changes.
