‘Dancing with the Stars’ execs stand behind Chaz Bono selection

HollywoodNews.com: With the selection of Chaz Bono for the new cast of ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ executives got a lot of backlash for choosing a transgender competitor.

However, the show is standing behind the decision as they want to show a range of competitors every year, states People. “We’ve had people from every sort of edge of the political spectrum. We’ve had people from all types of professions within show business,” executive producer Conrad Green commented.

Green also thinks that people will root for Chaz to succeed on the show once they get to know him and see the dancing process like they do every year.

I guess having a successful black female star on the show was too much of a stretch for their “range of competitors this season. Funny, they make damn sure they have plenty of pretty white women on every single season.

First and foremost Chaz is a person. He’s probably a better person than all those people complaining about him, because he’s honest with himself. They are dishonest, because probably say they are good Christian people, but they are hateful bigots. And I bet they can’t look in the mirror and tell themselves “I am a hypocritical bigot. I claim to be a good Christian and love God, but yet I hate what he made.” Basically they are telling God he did something wrong and bad when he made people like Chaz. Well guess what he didn’t.
