Demi Lovato talks young girls looking up to her After dealing with some recent problems, Demi Lovato now wants to be the role model for young girls that she never had.

Lovato spoke with Ellen DeGeneres about her eating disorder and rehab treatment, states People. Lovato feels part of her struggle had to do with the fact that she knew of no one going through her same problems.

“It was the time in the tabloids when very, very skinny girls were on the cover of every magazine, and that’s what I was looking up to,” Lovato said about feeling pressure about her weight.

But, now that she has opened up about her struggles, she wants that to help others: “I want to be [a role model] for a 13-year old girl at home deciding whether or not to eat dinner, or an 18-year-old girl deciding whether or not to keep her breakfast down.”

Do you think Demi Lovato is a good role model?
