Prosecutors to recommend jail time for Lindsay Lohan
By Kim Palacios
hollywoodnews.com: Prosecutors from the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office will ask Judge Stephanie Sautner to send Lindsay Lohan to jail tomorrow. According to TMZ, the office will argue that bad behavior from Lindsay during community service hours spent at the Downtown Women’s Center is in clear violation of the star’s probation, and warrants time spent behind bars.
If the judge takes the advice of the city prosecutor, she would be reneging on Lohan’s probation agreement on behalf of the state, a measure that is within the judge’s rights if she determines Lohan belongs in jail. Confusing the matter is the recommendation of the Probation Office (which reportedly says that Lohan’s actions at the Downtown Women’s Center were not in violation of her probation).
At a 10AM PST hearing tomorrow the judge will have to decide whether to accept the recommendation of the Attorney’s Office or to honor the expertise of probation officials, all taking Lohan’s overall track record into account. The event will be streamed live on TMZ.com.
