Randy Jackson takes back his diss against ‘The Voice’
HollywoodNews.com: Randy Jackson has started a bit of a battle between ‘American Idol’ and ‘The Voice,’ but he is now backtracking with some comments he made against the NBC show.
Jackson had recently commented that ‘The Voice’ was a show for “second chance people” who basically can’t succeed on ‘American Idol,’ states UsMagazine.com. But now he wants to clarify what he meant by “second chance people.”
While referencing Season 1 winner Javier Colon who allegedly had a recording contract at one point with Capitol Records that didn’t work out, Jackson explained, “I’m saying the difference is [that Idol features] new people. Because the first thing that goes into my mind if you have had three or four [prior opportunities to make it in the industry] is that there is something that you’re missing that you don’t quite know yet.”
What do you think about the two shows?
