Posters Drop For “Avengers: Endgame” And Our Heroes Will Avenge The Fallen

Earlier today, a series of New Posters were released for next month’s epic Marvel Cinematic Universe entry Avengers: Endgame. With that recent Trailer likely being it, in terms of new looks at the MCU effort, we should probably expect things like this to suffice until the April release date. Pundits like myself have already received our press screening invitations, so it’s basically a waiting game now. A month away, this end to the latest phase of the MCU will undoubtedly change everything. As such, it’s an incredible cinematic event, one that pop culture itself will be awaiting. Few movies can create the sort of wave in the zeitgeist that this can.

Once again, for those that somehow are not aware (the handful of you somewhere out there in the world), the film is the latest Avengers outing and a direct sequel to Avengers: Infinity War. IMDb has the following synopsis: “After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, the universe is in ruins. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe.” Who will be along for the ride? Well, we’ve seen in Trailers the likes of Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Clint Barton/Hawkeye/Ronin (Jeremy Renner), Scott Lang/Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Rocket Raccoon (voice of Bradley Cooper), and Nebula (Karen Gillan), plus of course newcomer Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel (Brie Larson). Obviously, Thanos (Josh Brolin) will return, as will presumably many of the heroes who were victims of the snap last time around. Anthony Russo and Joe Russo direct a script by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, with what feels like a supporting cast of thousands on hand as well. As you might imagine, this is one of the biggest A-list casts of all time. Alan Silvestri composed the score, while Trent Opaloch handled the cinematography.

The Posters all come with the tagline “Avenge The Fallen” and feature both heroes who survived the snap by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, as well as those who did not. That doesn’t necessarily mean that we will or won’t see those departed friends, though astute fans should probably expect that it’s not the last we’ve seen of Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Star Lord, and others. How it all unfolds remains to be seen, at least until late April, but these Posters help to whet the appetite, at least. If anything new from Avengers: Endgame comes out between now and then, we’ll be sure to have it, but for now…we’ve got Posters to share.

Here are all of the Posters, via Twitter and CNET:

Stay tuned for lots more on Avengers: Endgame in the weeks to come!
