Trailer For “Spider-Man: Far From Home” Picks Up After The Endgame

Yesterday morning, a new Trailer dropped for Spider-Man: Far From Home, along with a massive spoiler warning. Seriously, even star Tom Holland leads things off by warning that this spoils a big part of Avengers: Endgame. Now, judging by the box office haul so far, just about everyone on the planet has seen the film so far. That being said, if you’re a Marvel fan and haven’t gotten to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s crowning achievement yet, consider this fair warning. The Trailer will tell you something that you won’t want to know about the massive movie. There’s your heads up. The Trailer will be below…

Obviously a sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, this is the latest installment of the MCU, and represents the follow up to Avengers: Endgame. IMDb has this summary: “Peter Parker and his friends go on a European vacation, where Peter finds himself agreeing to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent”. Here also is the official plot synopsis from Sony Pictures: “Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!” Basically, we have Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Holland) in Europe, facing off against Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), all under the watchful eye (no pun intended) of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Jon Watts returns to direct, with Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers again penning the screenplay. Returning among the cast members are Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Laura Harrier, Michael Keaton, Michael Mando, Tony Revolori, Angourie Rice, Martin Starr, Marisa Tomei, and more, while newcomers include MCU mainstay Colbie Smulders, among a handful of others. Michael Giacchino again composes the score, while Matthew J. Lloyd handles the cinematography.

Beyond the spoiler at the top of the Trailer, this looks like another strong Marvel Cinematic Universe outing. The future for Marvel still looks very bright. Obviously, the MCU is planning to go in a very different direction going forward, so this is somewhat caught in transition. Still, it appears to be a fun Spider-Man offering, with Spidey doing his hero thing in a whole new location. Holland the returning players are welcome presences, while Samuel L. Jackson should be fun playing off of Holland. Then, there’s Jake Gyllenhaal, finally joining a superhero flick. There’s plenty of potential here, no doubt about that. For fans of Marvel, this will almost assuredly continue their winning ways.

Below you can see the second Spider-Man: Far From Home Trailer. Marvel and Sony will be bringing this one to all of us in just under two months, with a July 2nd release date planned for the movie. European adventures for our friendly neighborhood wall crawler? Yes please. This summer, the web-slinger will be gallivanting on the continent, with all of us along for the ride. Again, there are spoilers to be found in this second Trailer, so keep that in mind. As long as that isn’t an issue for you, in whatever way that means, this is a fun preview for a flick that seems poised to really entertain. Give this film’s Trailer a look and see what you think…

Here now is the new Trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, in all its (spoiler filled) glory. Enjoy:
