As we enter a whole new section of the precursor season, with critics groups chiming in, we’re going to start to see who and what that element of the industry is partial to. Here, BSFC went in some very interesting directions, though it’s clear there are some definite Academy Award nominees in the bunch. Like any good critics group, however, they’re not bound by just Oscar hopefuls. Nomadland took the top prize, but what else went down today in Boston? Read on to find out what they did…

Nomadland took Best Picture, Best Director for Chloe Zhao, and Best Cinematography, leading the way with three wins. Also getting multiple citations were I’m Thinking of Ending Things and Minari, both winning two categories.
